Job Title: Internal Auditing Officer
Location: Belfast, with regular travel across Ireland
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum plus benefits OTE - £31,500 to £36,750

Job Summary:
As an Internal Auditing Officer you will support the Head of Compliance in ensuring that our business operations across Ireland adhere to all recruitment and temporary worker legislation, as well as internal standards and best practices. This role is pivotal in maintaining our company's reputation for high standards of compliance and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee internal audits, ensuring compliance with legislation in Northern Ireland (NI) and the Republic of Ireland (ROI).
  • Design and implement robust reporting mechanisms to identify risk areas and ensure compliance with statutory and internal procedures.
  • Update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), compliance policies, and documentation.
  • Produce detailed audit reports, making recommendations for improvements and leading follow-up initiatives.
  • Serve as a primary contact for internal compliance queries and coordinate external audits.
  • Engage in continuous improvement activities, including the management of feedback mechanisms and client surveys.
  • Represent the company in professional forums and maintain the strictest confidentiality in all business interactions.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a compliance-focused role, with proven experience in conducting internal audits and producing audit reports. In-depth knowledge of both NI and ROI recruitment legislation and best practice. Demonstrative good track record in process and best practice compliance, to include policy writing.
  • Skills: Exceptional communication and presentation skills; proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Education: At least two A-Level qualifications; a third-level business-related qualification is desirable.
  • Qualities: High ethical standards and professionalism, strong emotional intelligence, and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Other: Must have a full clean driving license and be able to travel regularly, including occasional overnight stays.
