Health and Safety Officer (Pharmaceutical site)
North Dublin | Full-Time
About the Role
An established pharmaceutical manufacturer in Dublin is seeking a Health and Safety Officer.
This role will ensure employees and the workplace follow safe practices and comply with health and safety legislation. It includes developing policies, carrying out risk assessments and inspections, and delivering training for staff and contractors.
The position is mainly based at a Dublin manufacturing facility with one day per week at another location throughout 2025.
Both junior and senior levels of experience will be equally valued for this position.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement and monitor health and safety policies and procedures.
Carry out risk assessments, inspections and audits with follow-up actions.
Manage incidents, accidents and near misses including investigation and reporting.
Deliver health and safety training for staff and contractors.
Lead safety initiatives and promote a strong safety culture.
Support projects to integrate EHS requirements.
Develop and lead site emergency response plans.
- Strong Document control
Ensure compliance with regulations and maintain accurate documentation.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Quality with a diploma in Safety.
Knowledge of EHS compliance and reporting.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Ability to influence, collaborate and work across teams.
Manual Handling and VDU Instructor/Assessor (desirable).
- Fluent English.
