Are you a detail-oriented professional with a strong focus on health, safety, and compliance? We are seeking a Health, Safety & Compliance Officer to join a leading manufacturing company based near Croom, Co. Limerick. This is a full-time, permanent position offering an excellent opportunity to make a real impact in a progressive and safety-driven environment.

Due to continued growth, they are now looking to add a dedicated professional to oversee health and safety processes, internal audits, and continuous improvement initiatives across their operations.
Responsibilities
The Health, Safety & Compliance Officer will play a key role in ensuring that all site activities are carried out in accordance with company, legal, and regulatory standards. Main duties include:
- Implementing and maintaining Health & Safety management systems in line with statutory requirements and company policies;
- Conducting regular site inspections, risk assessments, and internal audits to ensure ongoing compliance and identify areas for improvement;
- Supporting management and staff through training, guidance, and the promotion of a strong safety culture across all departments;
- Investigating incidents and near misses, preparing reports, and driving corrective and preventive actions;
- Maintaining accurate safety and audit documentation, records, and reports for both internal and external review;
- Assisting in the development and implementation of ISO and other compliance frameworks;
- Collaborating with department heads to review and update standard operating procedures (SOP's) and ensure adherence to best practices.

Criteria
- Relevant qualification in Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or a related discipline;
- Proven experience in health and safety management, ideally within a manufacturing, construction, or industrial environment;
- Experience conducting internal audits (ISO 45001, ISO 9001, or similar) is essential;
- Strong knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation and best practices.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational, and communication skills;
- Ability to influence, engage, and promote a proactive safety culture across teams;
- Confident in using MS Office and safety management systems.
