Job Title: Floating Support Worker - Regional Floating Support Service
Location: Southern Health and Social Care Trust area

The Service:
Our client delivers a range of services that enable individuals with disabilities to fully engage in their communities. The Floating Support Services ensure that clients can live independently in their homes.

Purpose of the Job:
Provide housing-related support to individuals with physical disabilities, health issues, or brain injuries to help them live independently and maintain their tenancies. Personal care is not required for this role.

Salary/Hourly Rate:
Starting at £25,545 per annum (pro-rata)
Hours of Work: 30 hours per week (Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm)
Closing Date: Monday, 14th October 2024 @ 10 am
Length of Contract: Temporary - until 31st July 2025

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assess the need for housing support and design individual support plans
  • Assist clients in receiving benefits and managing finances
  • Support life skills, community engagement, and access to local services
  • Provide guidance on tenancy rights and responsibilities
  • Conduct risk assessments and monitor support plans

Personal Specification:
Essential Criteria:

  1. RQF Level 2 Qualification or equivalent
  2. Minimum of 1 year's experience providing support services to people with disabilities
  3. Knowledge of the effects of disability and/or vulnerable groups
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  5. Proficiency in IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
