Finance Assistant

Our client, an independent wine merchant in the Crossgar area of County Down, require a permanent Finance Assistant / Trainee Accounting Technician.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone starting their career in finance or looking to broaden their experience as the successful candidate will gain experience in all aspects of the business.

Responsibilities:

• Accounts payable: processing supplier invoices and actioning supplier payments
• Accounts receivable, reconciling customer accounts, issuing statements and assisting with credit control.
• Reconciliation of bank accounts, and other financial transactions.
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, providing excellent customer service and any other ad-hoc duties as they arise, to support the day to day running of the business.

Essential requirements:

• Proficient in MS Excel with good numerical and analytical skills.
• Proficient IT skills to work with ERP and accounting software
• Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• 5 GCSEs A-C, to include English Language and Maths.
