Social Work Qualified Deputy Manager
Location: Northern Ireland
Contract: Full-time
Salary: £40,116.96
Are you an experienced social work professional passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? We are seeking a Social Work Qualified Deputy Manager to join our children's residential home.
About the Role
As a Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in leading a dedicated team, ensuring the highest standards of care for children and young people. Key responsibilities include:
- Building a strong and positive team culture
- Supporting staff development through coaching and supervision
- Ensuring compliance with safeguarding and regulatory requirements
- Overseeing risk assessments and incident management
- Engaging with external agencies and multi-disciplinary teams
- Participating in the on-call rota (minimum three days per week)
Essential Criteria
- Social Work qualification (Registered or eligible for NISCC registration)
- Minimum 2 years' experience working with traumatised children & young people
- Strong leadership, communication, and report-writing skills
- Experience working with regulators (e.g., RQIA)
- Full UK driving license (held for 1+ year, max. 3 penalty points)
- Ability to obtain an Enhanced Access NI check
Desirable Criteria
- Leadership or management qualification
- 1+ years' experience in staff supervision & coaching
- Flexibility to adapt to roster changes and service needs
