Band 2 Decontamination Support Staff

Location: Knockbracken Healthcare Park

Pay Per Hour: £12.21

Working Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-4pm

MAIN DUTIES:

Cleansing and Decontamination

• Thoroughly cleanse and decontaminate community care appliances returned to the store after use according to the safe working practices provided. These appliances include profiling beds mattresses and riser recliner chairs etc.
• Ensuring equipment is thoroughly checked and is fit to be re-issued

• Diagnose and rectify minor faults in equipment and report any faults that cannot be rectified to the Logistics Supervisor
• Liaise with Logistics Supervisor in relation to whether equipment should be condemned.
• Accurately complete decontamination paperwork including Asset Numbers and Serial Numbers
• Cleaning of the decontamination room at the end of every day

Essential Criteria

• Must be 18 years or over.
• 12 months experience of working in a cleaning environment.

Note: This role requires the lifting and manoeuvring of 25 kg weights in a stores environment.
