Staffline Recruitment Ireland, on behalf of our esteemed client, is seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator to join their growing team. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Shannon, Co. Clare.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machinery to produce high-precision components according to technical specifications. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, commitment to quality, and a strong understanding of CNC machine operation in a manufacturing environment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and modify CNC programs using CAD/CAM software.
  • Set up CNC machines, including tool selection and fixture setup.
  • Interpret technical drawings, models, and specifications.
  • Conduct first-off and in-process inspections to ensure tolerances are met.
  • Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality standards and health & safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of programs, machine settings, and changes.
  • Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and quality personnel to optimise processes.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior machinists and operators.
  • Perform routine maintenance and machine troubleshooting.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO/AS9100 and other relevant quality standards.
  • Work to tight tolerances and inspect own work to uphold quality output.

Criteria:

  • 2+ years of experience operating CNC machines;
  • Strong knowledge of G-code-, M-code, and CNC programming;
  • Familiarity with Hypermill Software is desirable;
  • Proficiency in using measuring tools and inspection equipment (Callipers, Micrometers and CMMs).
