Band 3 Higher Clerical Officer required on a temporary basis based in Antrim.
Role: Band 3 Higher Clerical Officer
Rate of Pay: £11.67ph
Location: Antrim
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Duration: Temporary ongoing
Main duties/Responsibilities:
- Act as receptionist for the department.
- Making appointments and controlling the appointment system
- To undertake NIPACS safety list as directed on a daily/weekly basis.
- To check on a daily basis that radiology recommendations are acted upon by the referrer.
- Acting as a main link for enquiries from within and outside the department.
- Dealing with patient related enquiries ensuring preservation of patient's confidentiality at all times.
- Dealing with complaints from patients and other departments
- Participating in the induction and training of staff within the section and monitoring their progress / development in liaison with the Team Leader.
- Helping to maintain a high standard of confidentiality of information in line with current legislation
- Be familiar with the rules and regulation applicable to the department.
- Treating each patient / staff member as an individual in terms of courtesy, confidentiality, kindness and sympathy.
- Participate in projects for the development of the Service as directed by senior officers
- To work within the rules and regulation applicable to the department
- To follow all Trust policies and protocols
- To adhere to IR(ME)R 2000 within the department
- Any other duties and responsibilities appropriate to the grade as directed by senior officers
- To be willing to work extended days, evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays
Essential Criteria:
- 5 GCSE's (Grade A-C) to include Maths and English PLUS 1 years clerical / admin experience
OR
- GCSE Maths and English (Grade A-C) PLUS 2 years clerical / admin experience
