Salary - £44k

Hours - Monday to Friday ( occasional weekend)

The Maintenance Engineer - Ireland is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient operation of machinery, equipment and engineering assets across the MM Flowers Ireland site. Working closely with the Chief Engineer and Ireland operational leadership team, the role will provide hands-on engineering support across Production and Warehouse operations, delivering planned preventative maintenance, responding effectively to breakdowns and identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability and performance. As a key engineering presence on site, the Maintenance Engineer will take ownership of day-to-day engineering requirements, ensuring issues are identified and resolved quickly while maintaining strong standards of safety, compliance and engineering practice. The role will also support equipment installations, site improvements and engineering projects as the Ireland operation continues to develop.

• Relevant engineering experience within a manufacturing, production, warehouse or similarly fast-paced operational environment.
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding capability.
• Experience delivering Planned Preventative Maintenance programmes.
• Ability to diagnose and repair machinery faults safely and effectively.
• Strong practical engineering and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of engineering Health & Safety requirements and safe systems of work.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of engineering issues.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing operational requirements.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with operational colleagues and external contractors.
• Relevant engineering qualification in mechanical, electrical or multi-skilled engineering.
• Multi-skilled engineering experience covering both mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience within food, FMCG, horticulture, fresh produce or automated manufacturing.
• Experience working with conveyors, production machinery, automation, packaging or warehouse equipment.
• Understanding of PUWER, LOLER, PSSR and Electricity at Work requirements.
• Experience supporting installation or commissioning of new equipment.
• Previous experience working within a smaller site where Engineering requires a broad, hands-on approach.
