Job Description: Yard Operations Person - Dublin

Location: Dublin North Depot
Reporting to: Transport Planner / Operations Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and organised Yard Operations Person to support the daily operations of a busy transport depot. The role involves container handling, yard management, driver support, administration, and coordination with the transport team.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate container stacker and load/unload trailers safely.
• Manage container storage and update the Container Management System.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports on container storage and handling.
• Coordinate with the Transport Planner to prepare containers and trailers for drivers.
• Monitor driver tracking and help minimise delays in the yard.
• Prepare and manage driver paperwork, including PODs and CMRs.
• Review returned paperwork and assist with driver and customer queries.
• Order depot and office consumables, ensuring purchase orders are in place.
• Provide administrative support and complete other reasonable duties as required.
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Requirements

Advantageous Experience

• HGV Licence.
• Forklift/Safe Pass certification.
• Warehouse and inventory management experience.
• Experience with repalletisation and loading containers/trailers
