Production Operator

Production Operators - Genesis Bakery, Magherafelt

Our client, Genesis Bakery, based in Magherafelt, is currently recruiting Production Operators to join their growing bakery production team.

The role involves working as part of a busy production team to ensure products are manufactured to the highest quality, food safety and hygiene standards, while meeting daily production targets and schedules.

You will be involved in a variety of bakery production processes, including weighing and preparing ingredients, operating bakery equipment, monitoring baking processes, completing production records and maintaining excellent hygiene standards. Pay Rate:
£13.05 per hour + £1.00 per hour night shift allowance

Hours:
40 hours per week

Working Hours:

Day Shift:
Monday - Friday, 7:00am/8:00am until finish

Evening/Night Shift:
Sunday - Thursday, 9:30pm until finish
or
Monday - Thursday, 12:00am until finish

Full-time, Temporary to Permanent

Job Criteria:

* Previous experience in food manufacturing, bakery production or a similar production environment is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

* Good understanding of Health & Safety and food hygiene standards.

* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.

* Ability to follow recipes, procedures and work instructions accurately.

* Good communication and teamwork skills.

* Reliable, hardworking and willing to learn.

* Flexible approach to working hours and duties.

* Basic literacy and numeracy skills.

Job Duties:

* Safely and efficiently operate bakery production equipment, including weighing systems, ovens and associated machinery.

* Accurately weigh and prepare ingredients according to approved recipes and production schedules.

* Monitor baking times, temperatures and product quality to ensure consistent standards.

* Load and unload products while maintaining a smooth production flow.

* Complete production records accurately to ensure full traceability and compliance.

* Carry out routine equipment checks and report any faults or maintenance requirements.

* Maintain high standards of hygiene, housekeeping, food safety, HACCP, GMP and allergen control.

* Work closely with the Bakery, Mixing and Production teams to ensure an efficient workflow.

* Follow all Health & Safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE.

* Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.

* Carry out any other reasonable duties required to support the business.
