Hours: 37 hrs per week

We are hiring on behalf of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council for a Corporate Support Assistant.

Key Responsibilities

  1. To provide business support, including cover as required, to the Mayor's Office, all areas of the Democratic and Central Services section (Land and Property, Public Relations and Corporate Communications, Committee and Member Services and Civic and Corporate Support) as agreed by Senior Civic & Corporate Support Officer and the Corporate Services Directorate (where required as agreed by Senior Civic & Corporate Support Officer).
  1. Ensure that the department complies with all statutory and legislative requirements by adhering to these requirements and working in accordance with good governance and health and safety requirements.
  1. Ensure that all responsibilities are carried out in a timely and effective manner and that general confidentiality is maintained in all areas relating to the work of the Council.

Essential Criteria:

  • A minimum of five GCSEs (Grades A-C) or equivalent, including English Language.

AND

  • Demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, a minimum of one year's experience in an office environment to include the following areas:
  • administration support;
  • assisting in organising events and diary management;
  • dealing with a range of internal and external customers;
  • dealing with confidential/sensitive information;
  • Use of Microsoft Office applications to include: Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of Data Protection and Records Management requirements.

OR

  • Alternatively, consideration will be given to applicants who do not possess the required educational qualifications outlined above but can demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, that they have a minimum of two years' experience working in an office environment to include the areas outlined above.
  • A full current driving licence (Category B, valid in the UK) and access to a vehicle that will enable the post holder to meet the requirements of the post OR have access to a form of transport that enables you to carry out the duties of the post.
