Assistant Scientific Officer based in the Grassland Research Unit
Location: Hillsborough
Hours: Part Time, 25 hours per week (0900-1700) over 3 days (to be confirmed)
Duration: Initially until end of March 2027
Salary: £13.75 per hour

Job Role
Assist within the Grassland Systems Research Unit to assist with field work and lab work.
ASO duties would include field work (grass measurements, herbage sampling, botanical analysis), laboratory work (over dry matters), livestock experimental work (eg cattle and sheep intakes, digestibility's, respiration chambers) and other data collection
Essential Criteria
- 5 GCSE's (equivalent or higher) to include Science, Mathematics and English Language at Grades A* to C
AND
- 6 months relevant experience, working in a scientific environment
Desirable Criteria:
- Knowledge and/or education in Agriculture/Farming would be desirable
