Security/Car Parking Assistant

Lagan Valley Hospital

£12.75 per hour

Nightshift 10pm - 6am (Working 5 out of 7 day rota)

Duration: Temporary - ongoing

• Car park management - monitoring parking areas and dealing with parking queries/problems.
• Security patrols - regular patrols of hospital buildings, grounds and car parks.
• Access control - checking/monitoring access to buildings and restricted areas.
• ·Incident response - responding promptly to security incidents, disturbances, suspicious activity and emergencies.
• Crime prevention - identifying and reporting potential theft, damage, unauthorised access or other security concerns.
• CCTV/security systems - monitoring CCTV and other security equipment where required.
• Patient/visitor assistance - providing a professional and helpful service to patients, relatives, visitors and staff.
• Dealing with difficult situations - remaining calm, using good communication and following Trust procedures when dealing with challenging behaviour.
• Reporting/documentation - recording incidents, completing relevant logs and passing information to supervisors.
• Emergency procedures - assisting with emergency situations and following Trust security/fire procedures.
• Team working - working closely with security colleagues, porters, clinical staff, facilities staff and other agencies when necessary

Essential Criteria:

• A full, clean driver's license
