JOB TITLE Biomedical Scientist
BAND Band 6
INITIAL LOCATION Haematology/Blood Transfusion Laboratory WHSCT
REPORTS TO Lead Biomedical Scientist
JOB SUMMARY
Qualifications/ Registration -
Band 6 applicants
Must be registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC)
as a Biomedical Scientist AND have completed IBMS Specialist
Diploma (or equivalent) in relevant discipline AND have at least 1 year's
post HCPC registration experience in the relevant discipline.
OR
Have been employed as a Specialist Biomedical Scientist (Band 6) in
3 of the last 6 years, working in the relevant discipline. Applicant must
have maintained HCPC registration and appear on the register.
Other -
Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment. This criteria will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport approved by the Trust which will permit them to carry out the duties of the pos

(multidisciplinary within Southern Sector - where applicable)
Willingness to travel between sites as and when required
