As a Person in Charge (PIC), you will oversee the effective delivery of residential and short break respite services for adults, ensuring high-quality, person-centred support and compliance with regulatory standards. This Person in Charge (PIC) role is ideal for an experienced health or social care manager with strong leadership and budget management experience. The Person in Charge (PIC) will be responsible for the operation of the designated centre and supporting people to live as independently as possible.

Key duties:
- Lead the day-to-day operation of the designated residential and respite service as Person in Charge
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies, the Health Act 2007, HIQA regulations, and relevant legislation
- Manage budgets, staffing, expenditure, rosters, and administrative requirements
- Develop and oversee person-centred programmes that promote independence, choice, and wellbeing
- Support residents' health, safety, finances, medication management, and daily living needs
- Lead, supervise and develop staff, identifying training and development needs
- Promote positive relationships with people supported families, colleagues, and professional services
- Maintain required records, reports, incident management, and operational documentation
Essential criteria:
- At least 3 years of experience in a management or supervisory role in health or social care.
- A Level 7 or higher qualification in nursing, social care, or health science (QQI approved).
- Registered with NMBI (for nurses).
- A relevant qualification in management.
- Full current driving license.
