Senior Line Equipment Technician

Location: Midlands, Ireland
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Shift: Mid Shift

Our client, a leading manufacturer in the medical technology sector, is looking for an experienced Senior Line Equipment Technician to join their engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician who enjoys solving technical problems, improving equipment performance, and supporting a busy production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair automated production equipment.

  • Find and fix electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic faults.

  • Carry out planned preventive maintenance to keep equipment running efficiently.

  • Investigate equipment issues and identify the root cause of recurring faults.

  • Support production by reducing downtime and improving equipment reliability.

  • Assist with continuous improvement projects to increase productivity and quality.

  • Help design or improve tooling, fixtures, and production equipment where needed.

  • Keep maintenance records and technical documentation up to date.

  • Support and guide other technicians and production staff.

  • Ensure all work is completed in line with safety, quality, and GMP standards.

Requirements

  • Level 7 qualification in Engineering or a related technical discipline.

  • At least 5 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.

  • Strong experience in maintaining automated manufacturing equipment.

  • Excellent electrical fault-finding skills.

  • Good mechanical and pneumatic troubleshooting experience.

  • Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD is an advantage.
