The Client: Staffline Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Communications Manager for an exciting opportunity based in Dublin 4. Our client is a leading public sector organisation dedicated to delivering high-quality services and effective communication with a wide range of stakeholders.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and collaborative team on a minimum 12-month contract. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and delivering strategic communications, managing internal and external messaging, and supporting stakeholder engagement across a range of high-profile initiatives.
Hours of work: 9am-5pm Monday to Friday | 35 hours per week
Length of contract: Minimum 12 months
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver internal and external communications to support programme objectives and organisational change.
- Manage media relations, including press statements, briefings, interviews, and public affairs activities.
- Coordinate stakeholder communications and build strong relationships across the organisation.
- Plan and deliver onboarding, training, and communication activities for programme teams.
- Prepare reports, briefing papers, and communication materials for senior leadership.
- Monitor media, political, and policy developments, identifying key risks and opportunities.
- Lead communications projects and ensure effective coordination of meetings, documentation, and governance.
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies, GDPR, and relevant legislation while supporting continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- QQI Level 8 qualification in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in a senior communications role within the health sector, construction sector, public sector or a similarly complex environment.
- Demonstrated experience developing and delivering communications strategies, campaigns and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
- Strong media relations experience, including preparing press statements, briefing materials and responding to media enquiries.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce publication-standard content for a variety of audiences.
- Experience building effective relationships with senior stakeholders, public representatives and multidisciplinary teams.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Full driver's licence/access to transport and flexibility to travel and work outside normal hours when required.
In Return:
- Hourly rate in the region of €40-€45 per hour
- Weekly payroll.
- Minimum 12-month contract with the potential for extension.
