Staffline Recruitment Ireland, on behalf of our valued client, is seeking an experienced Technical Services Officer to join their Capital & Estates team. This is a full-time position based in Limerick, supporting the delivery of major and minor capital works, maintenance programmes, and infrastructure projects across assigned locations.

Our client is a leading public sector organisation responsible for the development, management, and maintenance of a wide range of healthcare facilities and infrastructure. The Capital & Estates team provides professional technical, project management, property, health & safety, and sustainability services to support the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality facilities.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will support the planning, coordination, and delivery of capital and maintenance projects, ensuring compliance with technical, safety, and regulatory requirements. Key duties include:
- Assist with the planning and delivery of major and minor capital works projects from initial stages through to completion.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, internal teams, and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Support preparation of project briefs, budgets, programmes, and technical documentation.
- Monitor project progress, costs, resources, and deadlines to ensure targets are achieved.
- Assist with contractor selection, tender processes, procurement activities, and contract management.
- Provide technical support relating to building services, maintenance, and infrastructure requirements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, building regulations, health & safety requirements, and quality standards.
- Support the maintenance and improvement of buildings, equipment, and facilities.
- Identify risks, support problem-solving, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain strong communication and working relationships with multidisciplinary teams.

Criteria:
- Relevant Level 8 qualification (or higher) in Engineering, Architecture, Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in project management, construction, building services, maintenance, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, building regulations, and health & safety requirements.
- Experience managing contractors and working with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and relevant project management systems.
- Full driving licence and access to transport due to travel between sites.
