Employability Officer

Location: Belfast
Working Pattern: Tuesday & Wednesday, 9:00am - 4:00pm (14 hours per week)
Pay Rate: £13.48 per hour
Contract: Temporary (Agency)

Staffline Recruitment Ireland are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, for an Employability Officer within their Disability Support Services programme.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide specialist support to young people (aged 16-24) participating in training and employability programmes. You will play a key role in helping individuals overcome barriers to employment, supporting them through work placements and developing their confidence and skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Support participants in securing and completing work placements
• Prepare individuals for interviews and accompany them where required
• Provide mentoring and ongoing employability support
• Conduct placement visits and monitor participant progress
• Maintain accurate records and complete administrative duties to a high standard
• Work closely with training providers while offering additional support (not training delivery)

Essential Criteria

• NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) including Maths & English
• Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office)
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to support individuals with varying needs
• Experience in administrative tasks and working independently

Desirable

• Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or learning needs
• Knowledge of employability or training programmes
• Access to transport

• This is a temporary agency role with Staffline Recruitment Ireland
• You will be working on-site delivering vital community-based support services
• An Enhanced Access NI will be required for this role
