The Opportunity

An established and growing insurance brokerage is seeking a Personal Lines Advisor to join its team. This role offers the opportunity to work with a well-respected broker that prides itself on delivering excellent customer service and tailored insurance solutions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a range of personal insurance enquiries, providing expert advice to clients, and supporting the retention and growth of an existing customer portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage new business, renewals, and mid-term adjustments across a range of personal insurance products.
  • Provide professional advice and recommend suitable insurance solutions based on customer needs.
  • Obtain quotations and negotiate terms with insurers.
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service through telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both clients and insurer partners.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell additional insurance products where appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate client records and policy documentation.
  • Assist clients with policy queries and claims-related matters.
  • Ensure compliance with FCA regulations and internal company procedures.
  • Work towards retention, sales, and service targets.

Candidate Profile

Essential

  • Previous experience within a Personal Lines Insurance role.
  • Strong understanding of personal insurance products, including motor and household insurance.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Competent IT and administrative skills.
  • Knowledge of FCA regulatory requirements.

Desirable

  • Experience working within an insurance brokerage environment.
  • Experience handling a wide range of personal lines products.
  • Cert CII qualification or a willingness to work towards professional qualifications.
  • Experience working in a target-driven environment.
