Staffline are recruiting on behalf of NHSCT for a Band 3 Receptionist required on a temporary basis based in Antrim.

Role: Band 3 Receptionist with Clerical Duties

Rate of Pay: £12.75ph

Location: Antrim

Hours: 16-21 Hours

Duration: 3 Months initially

Main duties/Responsibilities:

To provide a high quality and comprehensive receptionist service to all users attending the facility. As the first point of contact within the hospital it is essential that the post holder responds promptly and efficiently to all telephone calls and face to face enquiries from service users in a friendly and professional manner. To provide general clerical duties and provide clerical support while maintaining confidentiality at all times.

  • Manage the reception function at the front of the hospital directing patients dealing with queries, and being available to answer queries from members of the public
  • Deal with general correspondence and enquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • To ensure calls and queries are answered in a timely manner
  • Responsible for submitting stock requests
  • To access computerised information in relation to the location of patients
  • To arrange portering assistance/volunteer escorts as required
  • To ensure management of record tracking system for Complaints.
  • To ensure complaints are dealt with in a timely manner
  • To manage information on computer based systems
  • Deal with Car Park and Access Control queries
  • To transfer call to relevant wards /departments
  • Report faults in the telecommunications equipment and ensure the system is operating effectively at all times.
  • Report faults through to the Estates Services Action Desk
  • Respond to alarms as appropriate
  • Take appropriate action in response to panic buttons, fire alarms etc in line with agreed protocols.
  • Handling of lost property in accordance with procedure for the building
  • Notifying Domestic Services in relation to ad hoc cleaning requirements, spillages etc.
  • Carry out any other appropriate duties which may be assigned from time to time by NHSCT Senior Officers.

Essential Criteria:

  • GCSE English Language (Grade A-C) or equivalent PLUS 1 years clerical/secretarial experience in an office environment

OR

  • 2 years clerical / secretarial experience in an office environment
  • In addition to (a) or (b) applicants must possess RSA Stage II Typing / Word Processing - both parts.
  • Equivalent qualifications considered.
