About the Role

Staffline Recruitment Ireland is recruiting on behalf of Turin Components for a General Operative to join their growing manufacturing team in Shrule, Co. Mayo.

Turin Components is a leading Irish manufacturer of kitchen carcasses and specialist furniture for residential, educational, healthcare, industrial and laboratory environments across Ireland. The company produces high-quality standard and bespoke units using a wide range of materials, colours and finishes.

This is a hands-on, physically active role within a busy production environment. The successful candidate will be involved in assembling, lifting, moving and sorting kitchen units and components, supporting the wider team to deliver quality products to customers across Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

As a General Operative / Assembler, you will be responsible for:

• Assembling kitchen units, carcasses and related components
• Lifting, moving and sorting materials and finished products
• Supporting production within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Carrying out manual handling duties safely throughout the shift
• Using basic tools and equipment as required
• Checking work to ensure quality standards are maintained
• Keeping the work area clean, organised and safe
• Following health and safety procedures at all times
• Working closely with colleagues to meet production targets
• Supporting other general operative duties as required

Essential Criteria

Applicants should have:

• Good spoken and written English, essential for health and safety and effective communication
• Physically fit and capable of safely lifting and handling heavy items
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• A reliable and positive approach to work
• Willingness to work in a busy, hands-on manufacturing environment
• Right to work in Ireland

Desirable Criteria

• Carpentry experience or basic knowledge of woodwork
• Experience using hand tools or assembly equipment
• Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, production or carpentry environment
• Experience working with kitchen units, furniture or similar products
