Assistant Director of Nursing

Our client, a private Nursing Home based in Claremorris in Mayo that provides 24-hour nursing care are seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to work in their 70-bed facility.

Key Duties:

• Assist the Director of Nursing with the management and coordination of day-to-day clinical services.
• Promote and maintain the delivery of safe, high-quality, evidence-based nursing practice.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and ongoing support to nursing and healthcare staff.
• Contribute to effective risk management, incident reporting, and safeguarding practices.
• Work closely with the senior management team to ensure the effective and efficient operation of daily services.

Essential Criteria:

• Must be fully registered with An Bord Altranais/NMBI and have an active PIN.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a senior nursing role within a residential, nursing home or in an acute setting.
• Strong knowledge of HIQA regulations and the Health Act 2007.
