Job description
Head Chef - Permanent Position
Staffline Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead the kitchen team at a busy and well-established restaurant. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated culinary professional with strong leadership skills and a commitment to high standards.
Location: Dunloy
Salary: £40,000 per year
Hours: Up to 36 hours per week (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
Work Schedule: Shifts scheduled according to rota
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the kitchen team, ensuring smooth daily operations
- Prepare and cook high-quality meals in line with the menu and customer expectations
- Maintain exceptional standards of food hygiene, safety, and compliance
- Oversee stock control, ordering, rotation, and waste management
- Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation, and portion control
- Work closely with front-of-house staff to deliver excellent service
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment
- Train, support, and develop kitchen staff
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in a professional kitchen
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- In-depth knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
- Passion for food and high standards
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
