Assistant Arts & Information Education Officer

Lisburn

Temporary

Hours of work: 37 hours per week

Rate of Pay: £15.31 per hour

The Client: Local Public body based in Lisburn, serving local residents.

The Role:

The post holder is responsible for the set up, operation, maintenance and evaluation of administrative and promotional information for the Arts Service and for communicating directly with clients in relation to the effective delivery of the Arts Service both at ISLAND Arts Centre and on an outreach basis.

Note:
The post holder should be aware that the responsibilities and functional areas of the post may be subject to change as a result of organisational change. The Council therefore reserves the right to change the duties of the post by adding to or amending the range of functional responsibilities. The post holder will be required to be flexible and adaptable to meet the changing needs and requirements of the organisation.

Essential Criteria:

It is essential that applicants have a minimum of:

Qualifications:
1.1 - Five GCSE passes, grade A-C, NVQ level 2 or equivalent.


Experience:
1.2 - A minimum of three years' experience of working in arts administration.
Where applicants do not hold the qualifications as outlined in 1.1 above, they must demonstrate a minimum of five years' experience as outlined in 1.2 above.


Technical Competencies / Skills:
* Competent in the use of Word for word processing and text production
* Competent in the use of Excel, Outlook and Calendar
* Experience in the use of social media

Working Arrangements:
* The ability to work evening and weekends, as and when required.


Desirable Criteria:
1.3 - A knowledge and understanding of the leisure industry Application Form / Interview
