Job description

Staffline Recruitment is hiring a Depot Manager on behalf of a leading supplier of building materials and equipment in Ireland.

It is a full-time, permanent position.

  • 45 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:30pm

The Depot Manager is responsible for managing the daily activities of the branch. The person in this role will create a business plan for the branch and make sure it is followed to achieve sales, service, and revenue targets.

Requirements

  • Previous management experience
  • Experience in a builder's provider or construction environment (an advantage)
  • Good understanding of the construction industry
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel
  • A third-level business qualification is helpful but not required

Responsibilities

  • Support sales campaigns and help the sales team find new customers
  • Achieve targets for sales, customer service, and branch performance
  • Provide excellent customer service every day
  • Maintain good product knowledge
  • Manage stock levels and ensure equipment is tested when required
  • Follow company systems, processes, and procedures
  • Promote and maintain health and safety standards.
