Hours of work: 37hrs per week

Rate of Pay: £15.31 per hour

The Client: Local Public organisation based in Lisburn, serving local residents.

The Role:

As a member of the Operational Services Team the post holder will be required to carry out joinery works including maintenance and new works throughout the council area.

The post holder will assume other delegated duties appropriate to the post reasonably assigned by management.

Essential Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience:

• Applicants must have completed a full and recognised apprenticeship and have a City & Guilds NVQ*
• 2 years post apprenticeship experience in a similar position

*Where applicants do not hold the qualifications as outlined above, they must demonstrate a minimum of 5 years' post apprenticeship experience in a similar position

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of materials used in building maintenance and repair work
• Knowledge of the use and maintenance of hand tools and power equipment required to perform various building maintenance and repair tasks

General:

• It is essential that applicants hold a full and current UK driving licence and access to a car or have access to a means of transport which would enable the applicant to carry out the duties of the post *applies only to applicants who have a disability under the Disability Discrimination Act
