Duration: Permanent - Full time
Hours: Flexible from Monday to Sunday, 40 hours per week
Location: Cavan
Our client, a private Residential Nursing Home based in Cavan is looking to hire a suitable HCA to join their Nursing Home. The role would be a mixture of 12-hour shifts and short 8-hour shifts, candidate must be flexible on both.
Key Duties:
- Assist residents with personal care (bathing, dressing, toileting).
- Support mobility and help with repositioning.
- Aid with meals and hydration, including feeding if needed.
- Monitor and report changes in residents' condition to nursing staff.
- Follow care plans and infection control procedures.
Essential criteria:
- QQI Level 5 or equivalent, or be at least working towards same.
- Must have previous experience working in a nursing home or in acute hospital settings
- Must have previous experience collaborating with older persons/geriatric patients
