Our client is recruiting a driven and capable professional to join a well-established, market-leading organisation based in Cork, currently entering an exciting phase of continued expansion.

Warehouse Operations Manager (Warehouse & Transport)

This role requires a technical leader with excellent people management and organisational capability, a proactive mindset, and a strong commitment to continuous improvement. The Warehouse Operations Manager will oversee all warehouse and transport functions, including inbound goods, stock control, order processing, and customer deliveries.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a proven ability to lead teams effectively and to deliver positive change within a mature yet evolving business environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, oversee, and actively support daily warehouse activities, including goods intake, storage, picking, and outbound distribution.

  • Maintain high levels of stock accuracy and availability, addressing variances and managing returns between customers and suppliers.

  • Oversee the transport operation, including fleet performance, vehicle records, driver management, and performance monitoring.

  • Plan ahead to ensure timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of stock in line with customer demand.

  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety standards, maintaining a safe, organised, and efficient warehouse environment.

  • Review operational processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.

People Leadership:

  • Provide clear direction, guidance, and leadership to warehouse and transport teams.

  • Recruit, onboard, train, performance-manage, and develop all operational staff.

  • Build strong working relationships with internal departments, external partners, and key stakeholders.

  • Promote a positive, collaborative workplace culture focused on engagement and development.

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a supervisory or management capacity.

  • Background in warehouse and logistics operations is preferred; candidates from retail or FMCG environments will also be considered.

  • Knowledge of transport operations and fleet management is advantageous.

  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft applications.

  • Exposure to Lean or continuous improvement methodologies is beneficial.

  • Full, clean driving licence required.

  • Demonstrated experience ensuring and maintaining health and safety compliance.
