TRANSPORT COORDINATOR | NORTH COUNTY DUBLIN | PERMANENT |

Our client, a leading logistics company based in Dublin North, is seeking a permanent Transport Coordinator to join their team. This fully office-based role offers convenient onsite parking and easy access to public transport. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm, and the position provides excellent opportunities for long-term career growth within a dynamic and supportive environment.

THE ROLE |

This role involves planning and scheduling daily trailer loads between the UK and Ireland, liaising with hauliers, drivers, and clients to provide live shipment updates. You will ensure collections run on time and cost-effectively, while using your knowledge of Ireland routes, customs processes, and customer communication to support smooth delivery operations

RESPONSIBILITIES |

  • Coordinate and schedule daily trailer loads between the UK and Ireland
  • Communicate with drivers and hauliers, providing live updates and managing any changes
  • Liaise with customers and key accounts, offering updates at every stage of the shipment
  • Plan collection routes and shipping schedules
  • Make decisions on actions required and support the team as issues arise
  • Maintain accurate records and complete related admin, including invoicing
  • Work closely with the warehouse team on loading and delivery instructions
  • Use strong knowledge of Ireland routes, customs processes, and driver coordination to ensure smooth operations

REQUIREMENTS |

  • Experience in transport planning or coordination, ideally within UK-Ireland logistics
  • Strong customer service skills and good IT proficiency, particularly across MS Office
  • Previous experience using transport management systems
  • Knowledge of trailer operations, customs clearance, and groupage logistics
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work in a team, self-manage, and prioritise workload
