Team Leader - Registered Children's Home

Contract: Permanent
Hours: Flexible contracts available (40, 30 or 20 hours per week) including evenings, weekends and unsocial hours on a rota basis
Salary: £35,630.40 per annum (based on 40 hours), increasing annually with length of service

We are seeking two experienced Team Leaders to join a registered children's residential service within a community-based care setting. The role involves leading a team to support children and young people with additional needs to live safe, meaningful, and fulfilling lives.

The Team Leader will play a key role in providing therapeutic, trauma-informed care, ensuring that social, emotional, developmental, and daily living needs are met within a structured and nurturing environment. The post requires a strong commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality, and professional practice.

Essential Criteria

• Degree or Level 5 qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. Social Work, Nursing, Psychology, Youth Work, Health & Social Care)

• Registered with, or willing to register with, NISCC or relevant professional body

• Minimum 1 year's experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, or behaviours that challenge

• Experience working within a residential care setting

• Ability to lead, motivate, and support staff

• Strong communication, organisational, and decision-making skills

• Commitment to confidentiality, safeguarding, and ethical practice

• Flexibility to work a rota including evenings, weekends, and sleepovers

• Eligibility to work in the UK and successful Enhanced Access NI check

Desirable

• Experience managing or supervising staff

• Training in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) or crisis intervention

• Knowledge of residential childcare regulations and safeguarding standards
