STORES AND YARD ASSISTANT

We are currently seeking to recruit a Yard / Stores Assistant located at Moy You will work with our Stores Operative in assisting in the day-to-day management of the stores and yard areas.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading vehicles
• Working within health and safety policy and procedure
• Keeping both the stores and yard areas clean, tidy, and safe always
• Ensure safe storage of all materials and equipment to manufacturer's specification
• Ensure materials and inventory are well organised and check upon receipt of goods for any damages or discrepancies
• Ensure that all stock inventory records are kept up to date and perform weekly stock checks
• Report any faults in any equipment or goods
• Assist with general labouring duties as required from other departments

Criteria

• Previous experience in a similar role would be preferred but not essential.
• Forklift qualification; or ability to qualify for license
• Full UK driver licence
• Knowledge of safe manual handling techniques and procedures
• Ability to work both inside and outside, and in all weather conditions
• Willingness to take and to follow instructions; both written and verbal
• Excellent organisational skills
