Line Equipment Technician (Mid shift)

My client, a Galway based Medical Device organisation, are looking to hire a new Line Equipment Technician.

This role will suit someone who is comfortable with being on the production floor, working closely with operators and directly engaging with the med-device manufacturing process.

This is a permanent role based on-site in Galway City, Mid shift role (20% shift premium)

Responsibilities

• Oversee workstation and production line performance to ensure efficiency.
• Evaluate daily operations and implement improvements for smoother workflow.
• Keep training records up to date and assist new hires with on-boarding.
• Conduct regular workstation audits to ensure compliance with standards.
• Review both approved and rejected products to maintain quality control.
• Identify and report issues causing delays, taking prompt corrective action.
• Engage with operators to troubleshoot problems and introduce process improvements.
• Work with Engineering and Production teams on new product introductions.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience in medical device manufacturing/clean-room environment
• Knowledge of catheters and stents is essential.
• A Kaizen mindset is an advantage
