Job description

Our client, a specialist removals company based in Bangor are currently seeking to recruit a Warehouse Manager to join their team.

Salary is £30,139 per year with many company benefits including,

Hours of work:

Mon - Thurs 08.30 - 17.30

Fri - 08.30 - 17.00

(Alternate Saturdays or as and when required)

Main job duties include:

  • Full control and management of warehouse (30-40 staff)
  • Planning ahead for vehicle loading/unloading
  • Planning ahead for store work
  • Planning and texting out start and finish times for crew daily.
  • Paperwork to and from office
  • Scanning of containers into and out of store
  • Crew allocation daily
  • Porter allocation on UK/South schedules
  • Daily forklift checks
  • Organisation of daily warehouse tasks according to diary
  • Management of crew in yard and allocation of work
  • Packing bay (incl second hand bay) stock
  • Oversight of loading/unloading
  • Waste management
  • Delegation to warehouse assistant
  • Fork lifting when assistant not in warehouse
  • Warehouse and yard cleanliness and allocation of tasks
  • Document storage management
  • Out of hours contact for crew
  • Alarm callout for office/warehouse (which you would be paid for)
  • Key holder for opening/closing office & warehouse daily
  • Main point of contact for operational crew (on work mobile) - primarily in relation to sickness, lateness etc.
  • Setting crew start and finish times including texting these out from work phone. Updating crew sheets for reporting for wages.
  • Working with the logistics manager to allocate crews on logistics schedules weekly
  • Ensuring crew leave the yard promptly and on time to arrive at their destination on time.
  • Point of contract to relay any HR related concerns to Branch Manager in absence of Service Delivery Manager.
  • Reporting absence or lateness of crew to Service Delivery Manager
  • Supporting the Service Delivery Manager in the delivery of HR and crew management.
  • Crating of goods where required.
  • Opening and closing of the self-store daily.
