The Client: Local Government body based in Newry, serving local residents.

The Role:

To provide clerical, reception and secretarial support as allocated.

To assist with the implementation and provision of quality standards and customer care in the Tourist Information Centres and assist with the implementation of NI Tourist Board Minimum Standards.

Hours of work:
This post is 36 hours per week based on a two week pattern

Week 1 Monday - Thursday 7.12 hours per day

Week 2 Monday - Saturday 7.12 hours per day

Requirements:

• 5 GCSEs at grades A-C including English and Mathematics
• At least 1 years previous experience in a customer facing role (face to face and/or on the telephone) to include dealing with customer queries, customer complaints and providing information to the public
• As least 6 months previous experience of cash handling and keeping associated records in a work environment
• Experience in clerical/administrative duties eg filing, faxing, photocopying, word processing
• Be able to demonstrate competence in use of Microsoft Office Applications including work, email and spreadsheet
• Ability to work unsupervised and under own initiative
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team in a busy environment

In Return:

• Rates of Pay: £13.63 p/hr
