Van Driver

Staffline is currently looking for an LGV Van Driver for our client based in Cork .

Required: -

• Candidates should be presentable and able to take instruction easily.
• Fluency in English is essential both written and oral.
• Manual Handling Certification - in date.
• Safe Pass Certification ideally but not essential.
• Class "B" for LGV

The jobs entails:

• Packing and unpacking cartons of kitchenware, clothing, books, pictures etc.
• Loading and unloading vehicles.
• Assisting with deliveries and collections.
• Maintaining all paperwork.
• Commercial or office removals as and when.
• Unloading and unpacking 20ft or 40ft container contents received from overseas to homes.
• Heaving lifting is part of the daily routine.
• Work is carried out Monday to Friday. Weekend work is available depending on workload.
• Managing delivery notes and navigating routes.
• Working as part of a team.
• Ensure the security of the vehicle and load at all times.
• Ensure the items are delivered to the customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ability to converse with customers about moving procedure and operation.
• A fork lift licence is an advantage as warehouse work is involved also.

Salary: Starting from €14.00 p/h gross depending on experience.

Meal allowance of €9 per day (tax exempt).

Experience preferable but not essential as a training plan is in place following start date.
