Due to continued growth, our client who are a world leader in their industry have a vacancy for a Transport Coordinator based at their head office near Omagh in County Tyrone
As the Transport Coordinator, your duties will include
Role:
- Obtaining quotes and raising customer and purchase orders.
- Coordinating third party equipment being shipped and transported worldwide ensuring all loads are hauled timely meeting all deadlines.
- Completing customs declarations and any regulatory paperwork as required.
- Sourcing new suppliers globally ensuring routes and schedules used are efficient and cost effective.
- Communicating and updating other departments on status of loads.
Hours of work:
- Mon - Thurs 8am - 5pm, Fri 8am - 3.45pm
Requirements:
The ideal Transport Coordinator will have
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a Transport role
- Exceptional planning and organisational skills
- Ability to problem solve in highly pressurised situations
- Excellent forward planning skills and be extremely organised
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good work ethic with the ability to meet deadlines.
