Team Leader / Person In Charge (PIC) - Naas

Location: Naas, Co. Kildare
Hours: 39 hours per week - Permanent Contract
Salary: From €50,669 per annum


About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader / Person In Charge (PIC) to join a residential service supporting adults with autism in Naas. This role offers the opportunity to lead a committed team, ensure the delivery of high-quality care, and support individuals to live fulfilling and independent lives.

The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day operations, manage staff, implement care plans, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and HIQA standards. Full induction and ongoing professional development will be provided.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of Social Care Workers and Support Staff

  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care and support plans

  • Oversee and develop individual Person-Centred Plans (PCPs)

  • Promote independence, dignity, and inclusion for those supported

  • Maintain compliance with HIQA regulations and sectoral standards

  • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture

  • Manage staff rotas and maintain effective communication across the service


Essential Requirements

  • Degree in Social Care/Studies or a related Level 8 qualification (e.g. Social Work, Psychology)

  • Minimum three years' management experience within the Social Care sector

  • Strong understanding of HIQA standards, legislation, and regulatory compliance

  • Experience in implementing and developing care/support plans

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Proven ability to work independently and manage a developing service

  • Full, clean driver's licence
