About the Role

We are seeking a Stores Person/Tractor Driver to support in the general upkeep of caring for animals withing the Belfast Zoo, including adherence to health and safety policies, while creating a positive environment for all participants.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with feeding, administrating medication and tagging
• Removal of waste, animal waste and other rubbish
• Preparing foods and ensuring the daily transportation of the foods on schedule and ensuring that animal dietary requirements are met, through transportation and required preparation of foodstuff.
• Maintain the orderly condition of grounds, such as litter/rubbish clearance, sweeping and general tidiness and assist with associated work, for example, labouring duties, mowing
• To ensure that stores areas are kept clean and tidy

What You Need

Essential Criteria

1. possess a full, current driving licence (category C1+E and F) which enables them to drive in Northern Ireland;

• be able to demonstrate on the application form, by providing personal and specific examples, that they have relevant experience of:

1. driving a tractor and operating mobile plant; and
2. operational stores experience such as stock control and replenishment.
