ROAD FREIGHT COORDINATOR | NORTH COUNTY DUBLIN | PERMANENT |

Located in North County Dublin, our client is a leader in the logistics industry and searching for a Road Freight Coordinator to join their Planning team. This is a permanent position and a great opportunity to progress your career long term within the logistics industry with this business.

  • Please note that this role is fully office based with parking on site as well as being accessible to public transport.
  • Hours are work are Monday to Friday 10am to 8pm with a weekend roster pattern of working one weekend in three with time off in lieu.

THE ROLE |

The new team member will be responsible for the successful coordination of road freight collections from customers throughout Ireland.

You will be knowledgeable and confident in communicating with drivers providing live updates and ensuring collection planning is completed in a timely and cost-efficient manner.

To excel in this role, you will have good geographical knowledge of Ireland as well as excellent customer service skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES |

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationship with customers and drivers alike and responsible for handling designated key accounts
  • Communicating directly with customers and arranging times for fleet to collect assignments
  • Providing live updates and making decisions regarding plans of actions for the team
  • Update internal systems, internal teams, drivers and customers on latest developments
  • Problem solving on all aspects of transport planning in Ireland
  • Maintain accurate records as well as administration duties

REQUIREMENTS |

  • Previous experience working in an office based fleet coordination role
  • Previous experience in dealing with in house/own fleet of drivers
  • Good geographical knowledge of Ireland
  • Excellent customer service skills as well as strong technical and IT skill with a high level of proficiency with MS Office programs
  • Previous experience working with CRM systems
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team environment self-manage and prioritise daily workload
  • Ability to work in the office 10am to 8pm Monday to Friday as well as ability to work every third weekend as part of a rotating team
