Job Title: Recruitment Consultant
Job Summary: We are looking for a Recruitment Consultant to understand and match the needs of our clients and candidates, providing high-quality, tailored recruitment services while consistently meeting targets.
Location: Belfast
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (flexibility required)
Salary: £25,000 with OTE circa £35,000 + benefits

Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development:
- Generate new business opportunities.
- Achieve sales and gross profit targets in line with KPIs.
- Conduct client visits, follow up on business leads, and negotiate fees and rates.
- Support proposal documents and tenders.
Client Management:
- Identify client needs and provide regular service quality feedback.
- Manage vacancies and client sites.
- Gather and manage client information, identify sales opportunities, and cross-sell services.
- Maintain and update the recruitment system.
- Network with clients internally and externally.
Candidate Management:
- Source and talent pool candidates.
- Pre-screen and register candidates.
- Prepare candidates for interviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Negotiate job offers and terms of employment.
- Offer advice on pay rates, training, and career progression.
Quality Assurance:
- Follow key processes and QMS.
- Ensure high standards of communication.
- Conduct candidate vetting, including identification checks, payroll queries, and reference checking.
- Use and maintain the CRM system effectively.
- Assist in staff recruitment, induction, and development.
- Mentor staff and maintain accurate records in line with legislative requirements.
Person Specification:
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of Recruitment Consultancy experience or 2 years of direct sales experience in a target-driven environment within the last 5 years.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word and Outlook).
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- 2 years of Recruitment Consultancy experience or 3 years of direct sales experience within the last 5 years.
- Experience using recruitment computer databases.
Education & Qualifications:
- 5 GCSEs at Grades A-C (or equivalent), including English and Maths.
- Professional accreditation (REC or NRF/ERF) is desirable.
Qualities & Disposition:
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Strong analytic skills and commercial awareness.
- High standards and strategic focus.
- Collaborative team-player with an organised approach to delivering results.
- Full clean driving license or access to transport for required travel.
