Project Manager (Asset Management)
Location: Newtowards
Hours: Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm (37 hrs/week)
Rate: £18.06 p/h
Contract: Temporary Ongoing
The role:
To assist the Senior Project Manager to manage and co-ordinate the regions planned maintenance programme and assist the Senior Project Manager in the strategic delivery of an effective regional based planned and cyclical maintenance programme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage planned/cyclical maintenance projects to time, budget, and quality standards
- Engage and coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal teams
- Conduct feasibility studies, manage risks, and monitor costs
- Ensure compliance with policies, legislation, and performance targets
- Oversee contractor performance, project documentation, and post-handover requirements
- Provide regular progress and performance reports
- Support stakeholder consultation and maintain positive client relationships
- Provide technical advice, resolve complaints, and promote health & safety standards
Essential Criteria:
One of the following:
- Degree (Level 6) in Building/Construction + 1 year's relevant experience
- BTEC Higher (Level 5) in Building/Construction + 2 years' experience
- Equivalent CPD/experiential learning + 3 years' relevant experience
Plus, significant experience in 3 of the following:
- Managing NEC contract budgets
- Delivering projects on time and target
- Ensuring quality standards and stakeholder engagement
- Reporting on KPIs and performance
- Technical advice on construction/maintenance contracts
Other Requirements (assessed at interview):
- Understanding of NEC3/NEC4 contracts
- Knowledge of project governance
- Strong planning, communication, and customer focus
- Full driving licence or access to transport
