Staffline Recruitment are offering Production Operative roles to work for our Client, family-run business providing fresh food to the catering industry based in Moneymore.

Job Title: Production Operative
Reports to: General Manager

  • 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM

or

  • 10:00 AM - 5:30 PM


The Production Operative is responsible for operating machinery, ensuring the smooth operation of the production line, identifying errors, and maintaining quality standards.


Key Requirements:

  • Take ownership of your role while supporting teamwork.
  • Meet set production targets and deadlines.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Production Tasks:

  • Operate machinery and oversee the production process.
  • Monitor and maintain product quality.
  • Ensure correct labelling of all products, adhering to food labelling standards.
  • Efficiently operate machinery and check product samples.
  • Clean and sterilize the production unit as required.
  • Sort and pack products as needed.
  • Understand and adhere to health and safety regulations.

Teamwork & Communication:

  • Collaborate with team members to deliver production targets.
  • Follow instructions and communicate any issues to the supervisor.

Safety & Compliance:

  • Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures and product quality standards.

Flexibility:

  • Work shifts as required and provide overtime support during high-demand periods.
  • Support company operations by adapting to business needs and contributing to overall success.

Decision-Making:

  • Make informed decisions regarding equipment use and maintenance while ensuring health and safety standards.

General Responsibilities

  • Promote teamwork and demonstrate flexibility in approach to work.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance company performance within the local and business community.
  • Represent the company positively at all times.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the General Manager or Managing Director.


Essential Requirements

  • Flexible approach to working hours, including availability over a 7-day period to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Confidence in identifying production inefficiencies and proposing improvements.
  • Strong awareness of safety procedures and product handling standards.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Experience with hygiene processes (COSHH knowledge preferred).
  • Health & Safety experience.
  • Forklift license (preferred).

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
