Operations Engineer

My Client, responsible for the management and maintenance of inland waterways, seeks to hire an Operations Engineer.

This person will form part of the operational management team and will suit someone with experience in Operational Management & People Management.

Permanent hybrid role based in Tullamore, 2 days on-site.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operational personnel doing construction and maintenance site tasks, including safety inspections and risk assessments.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee the activities to preserve and improve of canal's.
• Conduct inspections and site surveys and assessments of potential construction projects.
• Knowledge of health, safety and welfare legislation, in relation to construction and maintenance work.
• Comply with all Health and Safety protocols.
• Ensure environmental standards are met.

Requirements

• Hold a qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Full driving license.
• People management, 1+ years.
• 2 years post qualification experience of working in an operation and maintenance environment.
