Key Responsibilities
· Interpret development briefs in line with customer expectations and company business
plans.
· Knowledge of current market trends and factors affecting consumer choice
· To adjust recipe/processes to suit existing systems or create new systems in line with
business needs.
· Deal with multiple projects, taking them from concept to launch in accordance with strict
critical path and all associated documentation.
· Manage and assist key accounts with control over customer presentations (internal and
external) and the preparation of products, recipes, presentation booklets and
photographic portfolio.
· Preparing/ cooking new products for customers to sample including hospitality for visits
· Up to date knowledge of food styles, restaurant & food industry market trends and
competitor activity, translating food trends into relevant and commercially viable product
development.
· Communicate new ideas to wider NPD team where relevant.
· Take responsibility for short term or long-term projects as required.
· Completion of documentation and recipe record keeping on recipe system.
· Understand site capabilities and attend development trials when necessary.
· General kitchen & culinary duties.
· General cleaning duties and compliance with all hygiene regulations
· Share knowledge with other employee's and all new starts
Essential Desirable
Third level food science / technology or food
related qualification Relevant post-graduate qualification
NPD experience within food manufacturing Evidence of recipe creation within chilled fresh food industry
IT literate - proficient in MS packages
Exceptional time management and
organisational skills
Analytical approach with strong problem-
solving and decision-making abilities
High level of both verbal and written English Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present information
