Position: Maintenance Technician
Location: County Louth, Ireland
Salary: DOE
Role Overview: We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our client's dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical troubleshooting abilities, focusing on mechanical and electrical systems within a high-volume manufacturing setting. You should be someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience maintaining production machinery in a regulated, safety-conscious environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular checks and perform scheduled maintenance to minimize downtime on production equipment.
- Troubleshooting & Repairs: Identify and resolve both mechanical and electrical faults swiftly, ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing processes.
- Compliance & Safety: Adhere to all health, safety, and regulatory guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Ensure equipment complies with industry regulations.
- Documentation: Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.
- Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in identifying areas for process improvements and efficiency within the production facility.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: A trade qualification in a Mechanical, Electrical or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 18 months of experience in a maintenance role within manufacturing or a similar industrial environment.
Skills:
- Proficiency in both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
- Solid understanding of safety regulations in manufacturing.
- Experience with automated production systems and machinery.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Experience with packaging equipment essential.
- Knowledge of PLCs desirable.
