QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER | PERMANENT | WEXFORD
THE ROLE|
Our client is currently seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Manager to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the Food Safety and Quality Systems in place to ensure compliance with both customer and legal requirements. Your focus will be on maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, authenticity, and legality across all products.
As part of the management team, you will collaborate across departments to help achieve our business objectives and drive the company's continuous improvement culture.
RESPONSIBILITIES|
- Oversee and manage the site's Food Safety systems, including but not limited to HACCP, Plant Hygiene, GMP, Pest Control, Internal Audits, and Customer Complaints.
- Ensure product quality consistently meets agreed specifications and company standards.
- Champion a culture of food safety and quality throughout the site, encouraging a commitment to excellence.
- Work closely with site management and team leaders to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide training to all staff on food safety, quality control, and best practices.
- Play a key role in site audits, including third-party, customer, and regulatory audits.
- Lead the management of the site's hygiene department and contract cleaning services.
- Plan and implement corrective and preventative actions as necessary.
- Ensure company policies and operational standards are always followed.
- Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with site Health & Safety regulations in all activities.
REQUIREMENTS|
- A third-level qualification in a relevant field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a Food Safety or Quality Assurance role within the food industry.
- Experience conducting internal, customer, regulatory, and third-party audits.
- Proven people management skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing demands.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in computer applications.
