Our Client, A Large Public Sector Organisation based in Benone require Lifeguards to join their team.

Location : Benone Tourist Complex
Hours of work : Approx 37hrs per week Monday - Sunday on a rota basis
Hourly Rate : 1 £11.44
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To carry out pool and general attendant duties and provide a professional and qualified service to all visitors using the pool and activities area.
To administer first aid if appropriate and complete all necessary incident documentation.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERSONAL DUTIES
- Ensure the safety of all bathers and spectators by adhering to the Normal and Emergency operating Procedures, to include testing and recording water quality results.
- Rotationally patrol and supervise the pool and activities areas ensuring the safe functioning of the equipment.
- Maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness within and around the pool area including all changing rooms and toilets. This will include the cleaning of showers, toilets, lockers, benches, water features, play equipment, replenishing toilet rolls, replacing refuse bags, brushing the play areas and other cleaning duties as required around the Complex.
- When necessary, carry out First Aid within the confines of your qualification and complete Council's Incident Reporting Form.
- Assist with the implementation of a summer events programme as required.
- Be responsible for the safe keeping of keys and the security of all stores during your shift.
- Enforce 'No Dogs' and 'No Bicycles' rules into the whole area around the pool and activities areas.
- Ensure that no member of the public has access to the pool area without wearing the purchased wrist band.
- To create a respectful and polite relationship with the public and members of staff.
- Effectively communicate and verbally direct in a respectful and polite manner with the public and members of staff. Have the ability to competently complete forms, documentation and write reports pertaining to lifeguarding.
- To wear uniform as issued, use protective clothing when required and ensure that you carry your lifeguard whistle on all shifts.
- Take responsibility for ensuring that your digital timesheet is submitted before midday each Sunday.
- To undertake any other relevant duties and training as directed.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
ESSENTIAL
- Must have a current NPLQ Lifeguarding qualification.
- Available weekends from 31 May -29 June.
- Must also be available from Monday - Sunday from 30th June - 31st August 2025 inclusive. Shifts will be up to 37 hours per week on a rota basis, 5 days out of 7 operating from 10.30am - 7.30pm. This includes weekends, P.H. and Bank Holidays.
- Have effective communication skills both verbally and in writing and have the confidence and competence to direct the public.
